This beautiful girl was the start of our love of Whippets, and the foundation of our ‘clan’. She came to us in January of 2011 from Dreamwindz Whippets (Thank you for this fabulous girl), and we have been in love with the Breed ever since.

Jaylo is the sweetest, kindest dog. In her younger years, she was the fun police to everyone, including our old Doberman Josie. She had two litters, in which she produced gorgeous babies. We have three of her kids living with us: Amore, Truly and Opal.

Jaylo hates the show ring, chasing plastic bags (but not the real thing) or anything that is not specifically HER idea. This has earned her the affectionate nickname ‘Eyore’.

Despite her Princess ways, Jaylo easily finished her Championship in both Canada (GCh), and the United States (owner handled- with four majors in four days.)

Jaylo is a Multiple Group Winner and placer, She won Select Bitch at the Canadian National Specialty in 2017, and is a multi Best Veteran In Show Winner.

Heartbreakingly in 2020, our sweet girl was attacked by an off leash dog, and afterwards ruptured a disc in her spine (missile disc). She was paralyzed for two days, and gradually found her way back to walking. It’s not perfect, but she manages to get around and is a very happy girl in her old age.

She fueled a lifelong love of the breed for us, and gifted us with many new friends and adventures along the way. We would not trade it for the world.

Jaylo-New American Champion

Jaylo amazed us all by being on fire and loving the ring for four straight days to finish her American Championship in Montana with four majors. What a girl! :)

When she is good she is very, very good, and when she is bad she is wicked. ;)

Jaylo - Multi Group winner

Jaylo won 5 of 6 Group firsts (in one weekend) when she was a 18 months old. :) She hated to show, but Milton Lopes got the best out of her that weekend in Castlegar, even though it was 40 degrees, and the Princess hates heat!

Jaylo wins National Specialty Select!

I could not have been prouder of our girl, winning the National Specialty Select Bitch award in 2017, in a ring full of beautiful Specials under Breeder Judge Donna Lynch.

Jaylo - Best Veteran In Show

This is Jaylo winning one of her Best Veteran in Show titles, thank you to Judge Janet Lobb. She has never loved the show ring, but at this show, she seemed to be on fire and had a blast. She’s such a beautiful girl that when she does decided to ‘turn it on’, she’s hard to ignore!

Jaylo's first peek at a lure

She didn’t run long after she realized that it wasn’t real, and that I wasn’t beside her. She’s a lunatic for the real thing, but plastic bags are a no go.
